Day 2 - Dawesville to Wilbinga Conservation Area

After a restful sleep we started our day with a cuppa or two outside under the shade of the trees. We enjoyed a late breakfast and then a stroll around the park & along the Estuary. Before we made it back home Mr 'have a chat' Charles was given 3 crabs caught today, which he kindly gifted to us. Thanks Charles.

Back to the van for a relaxing coffee and a spekulaas biscuit (Dutch) under the very welcoming shady trees.

A spot of lunch was had by all before we headed up The Old Coast Road towards Marangaroo to visit our friends Ray +Annette, who have just purchased their first caravan. What a gem it is.

Our travel day is never without something of interest. Today it was a bushfire on the Kwinana Freeway. Luckily this one did not delay us today. We saw the helicopter waterbombers X3 trying to put the fire out, along with fireman on the Southbound lanes. The traffic on that side of the road was banking up.

We are hoping to catch up with Ray + Annette in their van for the their maiden voyage on our journey back.

As we left Marangaroo we were overtaken by a little white number.
Her name was Scarlet, she was strapped in but out of control as her Dad had the remote.

Now we are stopped over night at the Wilbinga Conservation Area where we have cooked and eaten the 3 Amigos. (Crabs-OMG Yum!) IMG_20180106_190752662.jpg
Sleep tight everyone.
More adventures to come.
